Godly Play

St. Timothy's offers two levels of Christian Education classes for children, Godly Play and All Things New, in addition to our nursery program.  Godly Play, our class for ages 3-8, meets in the Godly Play classroom from September through May. (During the summer months, the two classes are combined into Summer Children's Worship.)

In Godly Play, we enter into Parables, silence, sacred stories and sacred liturgy in order to discover God, ourselves, one another and the world around us. Godly Play provides a safe and loving space for children to learn new ways to listen to and talk with God. Each story is rooted in scripture and each sacred worship session brings to life common devotions, individual prayer, and communication with God.

The teachers and children look forward to the wonder and anticipation of Godly Play. In Sping, we present the Faces of Christ during Lent, followed by Easter presentations of the resurrection, the Eucharist and the Early Church.
