Be Fully Present

It is so close to Christmas that I find myself already fast forwarding life to Wednesday.  But life cannot be lived in fast forward, it can only be lived in one present moment at a time.  So I invite you to take a deep breath with me and to be fully present in the last few days of Advent. 

In Advent we prepare ourselves to welcome God into our lives in various ways.  Are there places in your life that you wish God was more present? Are there places of darkness that you wish Christ's light would brighten up? Are there hard places you wish God would soften? I invite you to offer up those things in these last few days before we celebrate Christ's birth. 

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.  - John 1:4-5

May the light of Christ shine in, with, and through you this Christmas.
