Timothy’s Perrysburg Foundation, in partnership with St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, invites the community to an Open House and ribbon cutting on Saturday, October 18 from 12:00- 2:00 pm. After many months of planning and construction, the doors will open to the new home for the Clothesline, the longtime free clothing store initiated by the people of St. Timothy’s. The official ribbon cutting of the new facility will take place at 12:30 pm with the assistance of the Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce and Tim Ansted, Executive Director.

Formerly the rectory (clergy residence), the building has been renovated with generous gifts from individuals.  The house will now expand the Clothesline’s inventory and eventually additional hours of operation. Currently, the free store is open every Friday morning from 9:30-11:00.

The Foundation supports three programs: The Clothesline, Tim’s Kitchen and the Discovers Music series. Operating with the motto, “To Clothe, Feed, and Fulfill”, all three programs will welcome visitors on October 18. The community Open House will offer tours around the St. Timothy’s campus, including the renovated Clothesline and the new Tim’s Kitchen. Created as a “rescue kitchen”, the purpose of Tim’s Kitchen is to rescue fresh foods and create soups, stews and other meals to distribute to partners who serve the food insecure. The free soup continues to be available at the church every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm in the parish hall.

In addition to tours of the campus, the Saturday Open House will feature free soup prepared on the premises, cookies, coffee and activities for children including a bounce house. The Discovers Music Series is presenting Chris Brown performing piano selections to entertain.
